Acousticel R10 is a 10mm thick very efficient recycled resilient rubber that is fully compliant with the impact noise requirements  for noise control through concrete separating floors.  When used as the resilient layer beneath a concrete screed to form a floating floor, R10 is the ultimate answer for soundproofing concrete floors and will comply with the requirements of Document E

To comply with the requirements of the  Approved Document E 2003, R10 sound insulated separating floors have been tested in accordance with BSEN ISO 717-1997 and BSEN ISO 717:1997.   R10 is a very stable but efficient resilient insulation that is the optimum solution when looking for the best way to reduce impact noise through concrete floors.   10mm thick sound absorbing Acousticel R10 when installed beneath a concrete screed as shown above gave the following site test results:

With 14mm oak flooring on 2mm underlay installed on top of the screed, the following improved site test result was recorded:
